OK, in this post from last week I suggested that in two weeks you wouldn’t need to tweak anything to get Windows Live Writer to work with WordPress 2.3.x tags.  OK, I had the time frame right.

But I had the platform wrong - the fix is all in WordPress 2.3.1, available today.

If you run WordPress and love WLW, upgrade WordPress now. 

WordPress 2.3.1 was just released. It includes all the necessary code to get the Keywords (Tags) field to appear in Windows Live Writer–no registry twiddling or additional uploading necessary!
