Sorry - this one crosses too many lines for me to find it “artistic”. First off, everyone in our Military (US) volunteered. There is no draft here. Second, yes, if you wear this in font of me, I probably would punch you in the nose. Not bcause I am for the war - but because I know how hurtful it would be for the loved ones of a fallen soldier to see someone wearing this.
Poor taste. No class. No compassion. Egotistical asshole. THAT is what I would think of someone I saw in this shirt.

Oh, how I do love the sadly honest and brutally beautiful anti-war tee.

I’d be right beside you to hit em again if they got up. Pisses me off me off to hear a soldier, marine or whatever, argue against the war saying they joined only for the college benefits. You join the service, you follow the orders of those appointed over you, whether you agree with them or not. As for those lost in combat, which one is a relative of mine and a very, very good friend. He told me before he went that he was doing what he believed in but his family is now an outspoken opponent and says their son died for nothing….I hate to think of how he would feel knowing they think that. Love you forever Mikey…..and your always in our thoughts!!

Rick - for a while there, I read your comment and thought you were my brother Rick - I know he feels the same way.
I really wish I could find it in my brain to believe these people that wear shit like this and proclaim, “But we support the troops”. Bullshit.
Thanks for stopping by.

Violently attacking a person for displaying a cartoon that you deem offensive …
Somehow .. that sounds familiar.
Regrettably familiar.

@Paul - you are such a downer! Why do you consistently demonstrate the flaws in my thinking
Of course, no, I wouldn’t really punch someone for wearing an offesnive T-Shirt. Not at a mall, anyway. In fact, I don’t think I’ve been in a fight since I was ten or so (mostly because I could run REALLY fast).
But wear it to the funeral of one of the fallen, and I’ll probably assist the person with finding a more appropriate attire. Peacefully, if possible.
And personally, I don’t think a drawing that makes fun of someone’s imaginary fairy is anywhere near as offensive, crude, and just plain WRONG and disrespecting the people that are literally dying doing what they believe is “the right thing” - and they believe they are doing it for you, and for me.
So how about throwing blood on returning servicemen in the Vietnam era - is that too something you think we should just “turn the other cheek” on?

“Why do you consistently demonstrate the flaws in my thinking ”
SOMEone’s got to do it, so it might as well be me. And since you ignore my comments on spelling I turned to your logic and reasoning.
“is that too something you think we should just “turn the other cheek” on?”
Too? .. “Leading the witness, your Honor!” ..
But to answer that question about the blood. No, I do not think that should be condoned.
But in general I’d like to say that we’re VERY fond of our rights to freedom of speech and press.
We should be VERY VERY vigilant in protecting that freedom.
Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to do so when it concerns “speech or press” that we don’t agree with! TOO many people interpret ‘freedom of speech’ as the freedom of expressing only THEIR personal opinions, while denying opposing views from being expressed. That’s not ‘freedom’, that’s oppression. Since ‘we’ (as always, I use ‘we’ here loosely) have promoted ourselves to the ones who bring ‘freedom’ to the rest of the world, we should be especially careful about keeping ‘freedom’ ‘clean and true’. Even when that hurts at times.
